How long is a rabbit pregnant?

A rabbit is pregnant for about 31 days. Utah State University Extension says most does give birth between day 28 and day 33. Smaller breeds tend to kindle earlier and heavier breeds later.

The Merck Veterinary Manual lists rabbits at 31 days. USU Extension gives the 28 to 33 day window.

Kindling date = mating date + 31 days

USU notes that a false pregnancy can last about 17 days, so a doe that stops showing signs early may not be pregnant.
